A lover of the arts with a critical eye for design and detail and an intrinsic need to be surrounded by beautiful and unique objects. Passionate about his country, its history and traditions from gastronomy to ‘fado’ . These were the factors which led to Duarte Taquenho creating a modern and exclusive design piece which incorporates one of the most ancient forms of Portuguese historic and traditional art – the tile.
And thus viewnique is born. Lamps made from XVIII century tiles , each one unique and individual created to reflect Portuguese culture and exhibit it around the globe.
